The Willmar Lakes Area is lucky to have five beautiful county campgrounds where you can create fall memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime. Located amongst the trees and on the shores of our beautiful lakes, you’ll have plenty of options to capture that Instagram-worthy fall photo. Kandiyohi County is also home to Sibley State Park, one of Minnesota’s top 20 attractions. Sibley will welcome you with a rich mosaic of colorful prairies, hills, lush hardwood forests, bountiful wetlands and cool, clear lakes. With over 2,900 acres, it’s definitely a place for experiencing “Nature at its Best”! After hiking to the top of Mount Tom, you’ll see the colorful patchwork of forest, farmland, prairie knolls and lakes and you’ll agree! The Willmar Lakes Area is also home to a handful of beautiful resorts where you’re sure to relax and unwind by the campfire while enjoying the calm, quiet autumn nights.
