Trail Report for 8-21-25
Glacial Lakes State Trail: Surface is smooth and clear. Warm afternoons can make rides hot—morning and dusk outings are most comfortable. Light weekend traffic expected as summer winds down.
Sibley State Park: Trails remain dry with late-summer grasses edging the paths. Mount Tom overlook offers hazy but colorful views as prairies shift toward golden tones. Fewer mosquitoes than earlier in summer, but still some near wetlands.
Prairie Woods ELC: Trails are mowed and family-friendly. Look for migrating birds beginning to pass through the area.
General Conditions: August heat lingers, so hydration and sun protection are key. Late-month evenings bring cooler breezes and the first hints of fall.
