Trail Report for 7-16-26

The trails throughout the Willmar Lakes Area have been a great way to enjoy summer, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and exploring the area’s scenic lakes, woods and prairies. The Glacial Lakes State Trail, Sibley State Park and Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center are all great options for getting outside and enjoying the summer scenery.

With several hotter days ahead, be sure to plan accordingly when heading out on the trails. Carry plenty of water, wear sunscreen and consider heading out during the cooler parts of the day. Most importantly, listen to your body and take a break when needed.

Whether you’re looking for a leisurely walk or a longer bike ride, there’s a trail waiting to be explored in the Willmar Lakes Area!
