Trail Report for 12-15-25

The gates are open on the Barber trail. It has been groomed from New London to Hwy 2 (South of Hawick). There was good snow over most of the trail. We have a good base started, now we need some more snow systems to move through.

Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center‘s Ski Trails have been packed but remain closed due to thin spots. Fingers crossed for more snow!

Sibley State Park Local snow depth is 8 inches as of 12-12-25
Latest trail conditions
All trails have been rolled/packed. Some trails have been set. Lots of debris still poking through but could skate/free ski trails.

Sibley State Park Trail Description
The trails consist of hilly, wooded terrain, with numerous wetlands and lakes. The park harbors a wide variety of wildlife and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape from the scenic overlooks through Sibley.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota’s state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

Features
Parking is available at the trailhead.
Snowshoes may be rented at the park office when open. Rental skis are available from the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center, 320-354-5894.
The Trail Center serves as a warming house.
Daily ski passes are sold at the park office when open.
