Sibley State Park Trail Report for 2-13-20

Ski trails were last groomed Monday, February 10. Snowmobile trails are in good condition with a 5 inch trail base. Skate ski trails are in good condition. Traditional tracked trails are in fair condition, there is fresh snow on top of the tracks. There is still a thin layer of ice under the snow, and re-setting the tracks themselves was causing disruption to the integrity of the snow base; tracks themselves were not re-set. The sliding hill is in good condition with some icy spots underneath snow. Park users hiking or walking on trails and roadways should use caution due to the icy conditions. Hikers are urged to wear ice cleats on their footwear to avoid slips and falls.
