Monson State Park Fall Color Report 10-15-20
Where to go
Follow the yellow leafed road! The trail at Monson Lake State Park travels through oak savannah and flood plain forest and along the shores of Monson Lake.
What you’ll see
The leaves litter the trail and migrating birds have replaced them in the trees! A flock of migrating robins danced in the trees on a recent walk.
More tips
Sunny fall days give opportunity for frogs and toads to soak up the sun one last time. Keep your eye out for wood frogs and Canada toads as you walk past the nearly dry wetland in the woods.
Fish our lakes
The possibilities are endless on our 30 recreational lakes…boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, hydro biking, paddle boarding and so much more!
