Fall Color Report for Sibley State Park 9-9-21
Where to go
Head to Mt. Tom for a panoramic view of the surrounding forest. Hike the Pond View Trail by the Interpretive Center for a mix of prairie grasses, flowers and deciduous trees. The park’s beach area provides great views of the forest along Lake Andrew.
What you’ll see
With the cooler temperatures at night the fall colors are just starting to become more noticeable each day. Some of the Maple Trees are displaying yellow and orange colors. The prairies and wetlands are starting to show bronze and golden colors. The 4th generation of Monarch Butterflies are ready to migrate. Puffball mushrooms and Chicken of the Woods mushrooms have been spotted throughout the park.
