Fall Color Report for Sibley State Park 10-14-21

Where to go
Head to Mt. Tom for a panoramic view of the surrounding forest. Henschien Lake’s Shoreline is very colorful this week. Hike the Pond View Trail by the Interpretive Center for a mix of prairie grasses, flowers and deciduous trees. The park’s beach area provides great views of the forest along Lake Andrew.

What you’ll see
The Oak trees are showing yellow. The Maple trees are still consistently red and orange. The Ash trees are still showing yellow on the leaves that are left. We have had a fair amount of leaves dropping this week from rain and wind.

More tips
Sibley State Park’s Lake View Campground is now open after a closure due to construction on the Glacial Lakes State Trail project.
