Fall Color Report for Monson Lake State Park 9-9-21
Where to go
Check out the Hiking Club Trail for some early fall colors. The Boat Landing has great views of the surrounding forest.
What you’ll see
This area has numerous Oak Trees that are just starting their fall color transition. The Red Sumacs are starting to turn red on some trail edges. The surrounding prairie and wetlands are also starting to show some bronze colors.
The Monson historic shelter building is a great place to have lunch and view the fall colors.
