Fishing Report for 6-20-23
It’s been another great week for fishing in the Willmar Lakes Area! On Eagle Lake, anglers are pulling sunfish off the east side with worms and leeches using ice fishole lures. On the north side they are catching smallmouth bass using spinner bait. Over on Diamond Lake, sunfish and crappies have been active on the north and west sides when using minnows and northerns on the east side using shad raps that look like crawfish. Fishermen are pulling sunfish, crappie and bass from the northside of Elkhorn Lake and in the channel to the north of the lagoon. Walleye have been active on the north side of Green Lake using bottom bouncers with leeches or minnows and carolina rigs. Crappies have been hot in the late evening and around dusk on Norway Lake using minnows and redhooks. Northern pike have been very active in Foot Lake throughout the day using daredevils. Sightings of muskies have also been reported along the shoreline of Green Lake and in Nest Lake in front of Camp Sanderson. Now’s the perfect time to plan that fishing getaway in Kandiyohi County!
