Fishing Report for 5-10-22

Anglers are catching crappie and sunfish under the bridge and in the bay of Nest Lake as well as from Foot Lake near the culvert. Active panfish are also being pulled from the shallows of Point, Andrew, Diamond, Elkhorn, and Eagle lakes. Lake Florida is also seeing active crappie near the dam. Stick near the shallow water and the northern and western sides of the lakes for the warmer water temperatures and the best action. If you’re looking for active perch, head over to Big Kandiyohi Lake as reports of nice sized perch are starting to come in. Crappie minnow and wax worms are the most popular bait right now. When looking for walleye this weekend, stick to the shallow lakes such as Calhoun, East Solomon, Elizabeth, Lillian, Norway, Ringo, Willmar and Foot lakes. Don’t forget to stop by our local bait shops to get your 2022 fishing license before the walleye season begins!
Update: County Road 41 from 7th Street NE in Willmar to County Road 24 is closed due to resurfacing.
