Fishing Report for 4-13-21

The springtime open water panfish action is starting to heat up as anglers start to pull good numbers of crappie and sunfish from area lakes. For the best bite, look for the warmest waters where bait fish will be active. For now, the smaller, shallower lakes such as Calhoun, Elizabeth, East Solomon and Lillian should have the most active panfish. Stop by one of our area bait shops to stock up on bait and get the latest fishing stories.

Anglers will want to start planning for the Minnesota Fishing Opener which takes place Saturday, May 15. And celebrate Mother’s Day on the water with your mom over Take a Mom Fishing Weekend, May 8-9.
