Fishing Report for 3-23-21
The ice fishing season has ended in the Willmar Lakes Area as anglers eagerly await ice outs. Heavy midweek rainfall and warm temperatures should lead to more open water angling opportunities by this weekend. So far it has been reported that the ice is out on Lake Lillian. The fishing season for crappies, sunnies, and perch is continuous so as the lakes open up, you’re sure to find some hungry fish. Fishing opener for walleye, northern pike and bass is May 15th. Book your hotel or resort stay now for the fishing opener as many people are eager to get outdoors and enjoy the springtime weather!
