Fishing Report for 1-8-26

Fishing pressure around the area continues to increase as the ice gets thicker and it gets easier to get around on the lakes. Snow on lakes remains fairly light with many bare spots and drifts making travel not too much of a problem. Several accesses around the area are heaving up already making it difficult to get on certain places and creating some slush right at the base of the ramps.

Green Lake continues to have a pretty good walleye bite in mornings or evenings in 15-30′ of water. Fish are being caught jigging and on set lines with shiners. A few crappies are still being caught on Norway Lake, however the traffic seems to have slowed the bite down some in the bigger groups. A few crappies are also being caught on Diamond lake during the low light hours. Foot Lake has been relatively steady with mixed sizes of crappies being caught along with a few walleyes mixed in as well. Minnetaga has been producing a few eater sized walleyes. Fishing pressure was pretty high over the holiday weeks with mostly mild weather outside of the winter storm that came through.
