Fishing Report for 8-23-16

Not many folks out fishing lately. As noted this weekend, the no wake restrictions have been lifted on some lakes in Kandiyohi County. Please see previous report for a listing of the lakes. Many anglers are fishing off shores or docks near moving water. On Willmar Lake and Foot Lake sunfish, crappie and walleye are still active near the culverts. Sunfish, northern pike and bass are still active on many area lakes including Lake Henderson, George Lake, Ringo Lake and Elkhorn Lake. Anglers have switched back to using crawlers and minnows as we approach the fall season of fishing.
