Fishing Report for 6-6-17

This weather was made for fishing…warm, sunny skies and only a slight wind! Come to the Willmar Lakes Area for your next fishing adventure! Anglers are continuing to catch sunfish and largemouth bass in the shallows as they get ready to spawn. You’ll find crappie and Northern pike in the weedlines as the water warms up. Water temperatures are around the 66 degree mark on some lakes. For those looking for walleye, the lakes in the southern half of the county continue to be the most active. Big Kandiyohi Lake remains the most popular for walleye followed closely by Lake Elizabeth and Wagonga Lake. Panfish have been reported active on most area lakes.
