Fishing Report for 2-16-16
The bite was a bit less active this last weekend with the cold snap, but as it warms up this week, we should see it pick up again. Anglers reported a strong midday crappie bite from Diamond Lake, Eagle Lake, Willmar Lake and Foot Lake as well as a few sunfish and walleye. Long Lake reported more Northern Pike being pulled from the lake than other kinds of fish. The walleye action has been somewhat slow, with fish biting early in the morning on some lakes and during the middle of the night on others. There’s still good ice on the lakes so get in all of your ice fishing this weekend before the big melt!
