Fishing Report for 1-20-16

Ice fishing has slowed a bit in the Willmar Lakes Area with the recent cold snap. However, that has created some much needed ice! Most lakes are averaging around 12 inches of ice as of Tuesday. Still not enough to drive a vehicle on safely, but we’re almost there. The warm up this weekend looks great for fishing especially as ice continues to grow. The morning and evening bites prove to be the best during this time of year so it’s a good time to do some fishing after work. Some lakes to try this week would be Diamond Lake for sunfish, Green Lake for walleye and Norway Lake for crappies.
