The mission of The Barn Theatre is to provide affordable, quality performing arts to west-central Minnesota. The Barn promotes community involvement, affords opportunities for personal growth for its volunteers, displays and develops artistic talent, and provides community leadership for the fine arts.

We welcome you to come see our shows, engage your kids in children’s theatre, rent out our meeting spaces, rent costumes for your party, and so much more.

Facility Rentals

• A Security Deposit of $100 is due at the execution of the agreement which is included towards total rental cost.
• A separate Damage Deposit of $200 check is due seven days prior to the rental and will be returned after the event.
• A setup fee of $30 per event is required if chairs and/or tables are needed from the theatre.
• Rentals during non-business hours include an additional $30/hour charge for an onsite manager.

Spaces to Rent

 Jennie-O Main Stage Theatre

• • Holds 220 seats in a semi-thrust stage with stadium seating.  The stage is 42’ wide x 35’ deep.  This is a beautiful space.  This rental includes the lobby, restrooms and the concession area.   Lights/sound and dressing rooms upon request.  A pull down projector screen is also available upon request.

Nancy Geiger Event Center

• • A unique L-shaped layout complements your event with a glass garage door to close the space.  The event center seats 60 people on round tables, or 75 people in chairs, or 120 people standing room only.  This rental includes the lobby, restrooms and the concession area.  Sound system, podium, projector, and screen are available upon request.

Willmar Area Community Foundation Mezzanine and the Southwest Initiative Fund Lobby

• • The mezzanine and lobby can be used as overflow to your event center and theatre space, or as a gathering space for your smaller event.

Bremer Bank Rehearsal Room

• • This second floor conference room is a great place for an all-day conference, meeting, or gathering space. The room holds 14 people with a U-shaped table or 30 people seated. Large TV and HDMI cable available.

Basement Rehearsal Areas

• • These basement rehearsal areas may be available to rent upon request depending on rehearsal schedules.

Costume & Prop Rentals
The Barn Theatre costume room has over 15,000 articles, all available to rent. We have curated our rooms to make it easy to find what you need. The costumes have been donated and/or handmade pieces from all eras and is open to the public for rentals. We have items ranging from the 1900’s to the 2000’s are stocked in over 16 rooms. Unique characters, accessories, hats and shoes are abundant. We also have a variety of props and furniture/décor items available for rent, such as period phones, suitcases, and furniture.

Costume rentals are preferred by appointment at The Barn Theatre. Rental prices are quoted for 30-day rentals and vary in price, depending on the piece.
Payment must be made at time of rental. Rentals must be returned clean and in good condition.
