Not many anglers out in this varied Minnesota spring weather. Those that are taking their boats out are finding success in the usual spring locations. Some of these include Dog Fish Bay on Diamond Lake, the northwest corner of Lake Andrew, the northern end of Elkhorn Lake, near the bay on Nest Lake and near Dilley’s Resort on Norway Lake. The idea is to concentrate on the shallows where panfish gather to spawn. Some suggest a small hook and wax worm for fast action. Please remember that the water is very cold and can quickly lead to hypothermia – always wear a life jacket when out on the water.
