Quilt Minnesota is happening July 24 – August 15, 2026 and we’re celebrating 20 YEARS of quilting fun!

Quilt Minnesota offers quilters from across the United States and Canada the opportunity for inspiration from Minnesota’s Finest Quilt Shops and at the same time qualify for prizes at several levels of participation. Our annual event features an exclusive fabric line with a “Minnesota feel”. Independent Quilt Shops work very hard to create and design projects using the exclusive fabrics. If you have never traveled our beautiful state it is an experience not to be missed. We look forward to your visit!

Shops have agreed to be open:
Sunday: 12 – 5 PM
Monday-Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM

On Friday, the start of the hop, pick up a shop hop passport at the first shop you visit. As you travel the state, each shop will stamp your passport and give you a free 5” fabric square from this years exclusive fabric coordinates along with a pattern for an 8” finished quilt block, no purchase necessary.

Continue visiting any and all participating shops to fill up your passport! ‘You make it what it is – do as much or as little of the hop as you choose’. May we suggest traveling with a loved-one, family or friends, plan a couple day trips, jump on a regional bus and enjoy the inspiration you’ll find while visiting Minnesota’s Finest Quilt Shops!

Each year we feature an exclusive fabric line; shops work very hard to create and design projects using the exclusive fabrics. Fabrics may be pre-ordered from participating shops. Fabric will be released from shops the first day of the hop.

Participating Shops send a sample of their 8” finished quilt block to one central location. All of these blocks are assembled into our annual Quilt Minnesota Quilt. The quilt makes its début during the shop hop at one of the participating shops (this info is posted on the prize page). This quilt is a snap-shot of all the participating shops and their abundant creativity.

Many of our participating shops also offer Shop Hop Merchandise that has the same look as our exclusive fabrics.

Watch for Regional Bus Trips in the area you wish to visit! As they are planned, information will be listed on the website. Get your friends together, enjoy the beautiful state of Minnesota and let someone else do the driving!

Region Incentives

All individual Regions offer special incentives for visiting all the shops within their region.

Note: Region Incentives are not run by Quilt Minnesota. The shops in each of the different regions are allowed to offer their own incentives that all the shops have agreed upon. If for any reason you have an issue regarding a region incentive, please contact one of the shops within that region.

Ten lucky Hoppers will each win a $100 Shop Hop Gift Certificate to be redeemed at their favorite participating shop.

To be eligible for the Shop Hop Gift Certificate drawing you must visit all shops in at least FOUR (4) REGIONS.

To be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing you must visit ALL Participating Shops.

Note:
Must be 18+ years of age to participate for prizes at the state level (photo ID required). Hoppers need to be present to have their passports stamped. We will not combine passports to complete/qualify for state-level prizes.

This week is the week! Shops are placing their T-shirt orders, so now’s the time to speak up.
Stop in, give them a call, send a message, or casually (or not so casually 😉) say:
“I’d love to reserve a Quilt Minnesota T-shirt!”
The more requests shops receive, the easier it is for them to order the right sizes and quantities for everyone.
