2026 Willmar/Spicer Polar Plunge into Green Lake

The Polar Plunge is back in Spicer for the 21st year in a row! The Willmar/Spicer Plunge has raised over $1,182,114 in its 20-year history. In 2025, 297 Plungers raised $74,127!

The Polar Plunges are annual events organized by Special Olympics Minnesota; an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. Plunge participation helps make a significant difference in supporting these athletes. The Polar Plunge involves fundraising for SOMN and jumping into Green Lake. There is an option to fundraise and not jump in the lake as well! All are welcome to come cheer on and support our plungers! The Polar Plunge is an experience that’s not only exhilarating but it also is an opportunity to bond with your community all the while supporting a fantastic cause!

The Polar Plunge is the biggest fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota. All funds raised by Plungers help Special Olympics Minnesota provide year-round training and services to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.

The Polar Plunge is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a movement of volunteers dedicated to increasing awareness and funds for Special Olympics Minnesota athletes across the state.
