Title: PAD… What is it? It’s more common than you know!

Description:
PAD is a narrowing of the arteries outside of the heart; it affects the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart to other parts of the body. The most common type is lower-extremity PAD, in which blood flow is reduced to the legs and feet. PAD affects more than 8.5 million people in the U.S., the majority are 65 years and older.

September is PAD Awareness Month!
Attend this education event to gain an understanding of lower extremity PAD, Carotid Artery Disease and Aneurysm Disease.

BIO:
With over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, Nancy has orchestrated multiple community and professional events geared towards PAD awareness, prevention, and treatment. As past president for the Society for Vascular Nursing, and volunteer with the American Heart Association PAD Collaborative, she is a passionate ambassador for PAD education and awareness.
