Title: PAD… What is it? It’s more common than you know!

PAD is a narrowing of the arteries outside of the heart; it affects the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart to other parts of the body. The most common type is lower-extremity PAD, in which blood flow is reduced to the legs and feet. PAD affects more than 8.5 million people in the U.S., the majority are 65 years and older.
