Sunburg Community Music is offering a free Old Tyme Gospel & Bluegrass workshop on Saturday, September 27, 9am – 2pm at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg.  Classes will include upright bass, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, fiddle and whistle.  Instructors include Dempsey Schroeder (fiddle and bass), Maggie Harp, (guitar and mandolin), Joyce Rudningen, (ukulele and singing), Alissa Hulstrand (whistle.)  Pre-registration is required.

Participants will receive a book of songs and will prepare for a community sing-a-long program on Saturday, October 25 at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church.  People of all ages and experience levels are invited to attend.

Instruments are available on loan at no cost.  This activity is funded in part with a grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council made possible by the voters of Minnesota, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
