As a former emergency room physician, Dr. Scott Abrams became addicted to opioid pain medications. As a result, his life spiraled out of control. Now in recovery and serving as an Urgent Care physician, he also cares for patients with the Addiction Services team at Carris Health, providing outpatient treatment for those dealing with all types of controlled substance addiction. Dr. Abrams will talk about addiction, learning to ask for help, and continuing in your career after a setback.
