3rd Annual Willmar Martin Luther King Jr. Event: A Day of Unity

Willmar, MN – The community is invited to join us for the 3rd annual Willmar Martin Luther King Jr. event, “A Day of Unity,” on Monday, January 19, 2026. The event will take place on the second floor of the Ridgewater College Student Center, located at 2101 15th Ave, NW, Willmar, MN 56201.

This event is an opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful message of equity and justice, celebrate the progress made in the journey for civil rights, and engage in meaningful dialogue on current local social justice issues. Attendees are encouraged to wear the color black, although it is optional.

The keynote speaker, Duchesne Drew, Senior Vice President at American Public Media Group and President of Minnesota Public Radio, will share an inspirational presentation on Dr. King’s legacy. The program will feature students from Willmar Senior High School.

We encourage you to join us for this important community event, which includes vibrant performances, delicious food, and fellowship. All are welcome, so feel free to bring your family and friends.
