Light Up Willmar – Lantern Workshop

Get creative with Willmar Area Arts Council at our upcoming lantern workshops!
Whether you want to build a lantern from scratch or decorate your own, there’s a spot for you. Join us for an afternoon of creativity and get ready to light up Willmar at the Holidaze parade!

CHOOSE YOUR FREE WORKSHOP:
Make a Lantern from Scratch
📅 Saturday, November 14 | 1:00–2:30 PM
👤 Ages 12+
Learn how to create your own Rice Paper Box Lantern from scratch! We’ll guide you through the process step by step.
Parents must accompany children under the age of 16.

Decorate a Paper Lantern
📅 Saturday, November 14 | 3:00–4:30 PM
👤 Ages 5+ (parental assistance as needed)
Decorate your own paper lantern with color, creativity, and holiday spirit!

🏮 Light Up the Parade With Us!
We’d love for workshop participants to join us in the Holidaze Parade on Saturday, November 21, at 6:30 PM. Bring your finished lantern and help light up our community!

Space is limited to 20 participants per workshop, so register early to save your spot!
