KMS Theater Dept Presents “Bye Bye Birdie”
at the KMS High School Performing Arts Center

Synopsis:
Bye Bye Birdie is a musical comedy about rock and roll star Conrad Birdie, who is drafted into the army. His agent, Albert Peterson, and secretary, Rosie Alvarez, concoct a publicity stunt where Birdie will give “one last kiss” to a lucky fan on The Ed Sullivan Show before leaving for the army, which throws his life and the small town into chaos. The musical is a satire of 1950s rock and roll, teenage culture, and small-town America, and was inspired by the real-life draft of Elvis Presley.
