Beat the Heat Mornings in Nature
at Sibley State Park
Do you enjoy knowing what to see on a hike, but like exploring on your own? Beat the Heat is for you and occurs weekly before the heat of the day! Pre-register to join the naturalist and other hikers for a brief presentation on what phenology, or nature happenings, are occurring on the trail and where you can look for them.
Hike the trail at your leisure, and afterward, return to the Interpretive Center, to create an entry in your nature journal about what you saw, heard and maybe even smelled on the trail. Together, we will create a Nature Journal, with weekly chapters that will be shared the following week.
Pre-register by Thursday at 12 pm by emailing the naturalist at Kelsey.olson@state.mn.us or calling at 320-354-2002. The naturalist is out of the office until Friday, July 20th and will confirm your spot by calling or emailing you on that day.
Space is limited. Feel free to call day of to see if last minute space is available.
