Winter Trail Report for 1-27-23

The Glacial Lakes State Trail has a 6 inch groomed surface and groomers report very good conditions for snowmobiling. Roughly 15 inches of snow covers the ground along the trail.

Sibley State Park: Due to Thursday night snow event, staff started grooming ski trails after plowing park roads. Approximately 50% of ski trails will be groomed; these trails are the ones close in proximity to the Interpretive Center. We’ll update next week (Tuesday or Wednesday) after more trails are groomed. Trails are good to very good condition, due to new snowfall. Both the ski trails and snowmobile trails have a 9 inch base.

Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center: All ski trails have been packed and single tracked. They are in good condition. Please do not hike or snowshoe on the ski trail. Next to them is fine. We have not been able to groom fat-tire bike trails.
