Sibley State Park Trail Report for 2-22-19
Parker Fremberg Loop, Mt Tom Road, and Oak Ridge loop were groomed on Friday for classic skiing. There are some un-groomed trails due to equipment difficulty following the recent 8 – 10 inch snowfall. The skate ski loop was packed and groomed on Friday. The amount of groomed and un-groomed ski trail will continue through the weekend. This will also be a great weekend for snowshoeing. Snowshoe rental is available at the office $6/pair. The sledding hill has a new blanket of snow with this week’s snowfall. Hiking can be treacherous on snow covered icy trails and we recommend some type of cleats or spikes when walking or hiking. The snowmobile trails remain ungroomed, but conditions are considered fair.
