Sibley State Park Fall Color Report 9-27-18

Prairie grasses are nearing their peak colors. Asters are adding a splash of color to the grasslands. Ash and Basswood have shed most of their bronze colored foliage but offer a crunchy carpet along the hiking trails. Burr Oak have a few leaves beginning to turn but are mostly green. Sugar Maple trees are showing a bit of color in their tree tops. Mt. Tom is a good vantage point to monitor the change in forest canopy colors.
