Monson Lake State Park Fall Color Report for 9-20-18
Monson Lake offers a short hiking trail that includes great views of both Monson and West Sunburg Lakes. The forest canopy is slow to come into color but there are subtle changes throughout the park. Asters and some sunflowers and goldenrod add a splash of color. Migratory waterfowl are plentiful on these prairie lakes, bring binoculars and your bird book to see how many species you can identify.
