Fishing Report for 6-11-19

The summer fishing frenzy has begun in the Willmar Lakes Area. Panfish are biting everywhere, especially on Foot, Big Kandiyohi and Green lakes. Look for walleye near the shallows in Long, Ringo, Norway and Foot lakes.They respond well when using jigs tipped with rainbow minnows or leeches and trolling in 5-6 feet of water. Anglers searching for northern pike should head to Florida and Norway lakes for active fish. Huge sunfish are being pulled from Lake Florida as well. When shore fishing, you’ll find active fish on Foot Lake and Ringo Lake. Water temperatures are around 72 degrees.
