Fishing Report for 12-26-17

It’s a great time to get out on the ice and do some fishing in the Willmar Lakes Area! On average, there is between 11-13 inches of ice on the lakes. We’ve seen some fish houses out there and 4-wheelers driving around. We wouldn’t recommend driving a full sized vehicle on the ice just yet. Pay attention to the ice as there are still some weaker spots. Over the weekend the popular lakes were Eagle Lake, Ringo Lake, Lake Lillian and Big Kandiyohi Lake. The projected snowfall for tonight could turn the walleye bite on so get ready for some excellent ice fishing!
