Fishing Report for 12-20-16

Unfortunately the recent snow fall hurt the ice on the larger lakes, which created a lot of open water. Eagle Lake, Diamond Lake, Lake Florida and Lake Andrew are ranging from only 3-5 inches of ice. The smaller lakes such as Ringo Lake, South Long Lake, Solomon Lake, Willmar Lake and Foot Lake are ranging from 6-9 inches of ice. The bite has been good on the smaller lakes as they have seen more consistent water temperatures. Some anglers have been using their portable fish houses already. Ice depths range greatly throughout a lake so make sure to check it often.
