Fishing Report for 12-19-17
Little by little the ice has been growing on area lakes. On average there’s 4-6 inches on the wind covered area of the lakes. However, many lakes still have open water in the middle and the accesses are in poor condition. Be very careful out on the lakes right now as it might be six inches in one spot and ten feet over its only one inch thick. With the arctic blast predicted for the weekend we should have excellent ice this time next week. As of now, reports of walleye, crappie and sunfish have been pulled from Willmar Lake and Foot Lake as well as walleye on Diamond Lake. The western basin of Norway Lake is still putting out good sized walleye.
