Fishing Report for 1-9-18

The early morning and evenings have had good action for ice fishing in the Willmar Lakes Area. Active crappie can be found on Diamond Lake, Eagle Lake, Willmar Lake, and Foot Lake. Walleye have been pulled from Willmar Lake, Foot Lake, Big Kandiyohi Lake, Lake Lillian and Wagonga Lake. There’s an average of 14-18 inches of ice on the area lakes. There are many ice heaves on the lakes in the area so be careful and avoid driving over them. A few vehicles have broken through the ice.
