No-Wake Restriction Update for 8-20-16

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department has lifted the slow/no-wake restriction on some of the lakes in Kandiyohi County. However the restriction remains in effect for all of Big Kandiyohi Lake which is still very high due to drainage from the Willmar area. The restriction has been lifted for Andrew, Games, Norway, Solomon, Florida, the Crow River in New London and Long Lake near Hawick.

Water levels are still high on a handful of lakes, and the sheriff’s office continues to impose a slow/no-wake restriction up to 500 feet from shore, or about one-and-a-half football fields. Those lakes include Green, George, Eagle, Foot, Calhoun, Nest and Diamond Lakes and Long Lake near Willmar. Any lake not on that list has had it’s restriction lifted.
