Fishing Report for 6-13-17

The awesome summer weather last week brought some excellent fishing with it. People were catching fish on every lake in the county! Long Lake was by far the most popular as anglers pulled out big bass, walleye and Northern pike. The second best lake for active walleye remains to be Big Kandiyohi Lake. If you’re looking for some fun action for the kids, try Lake Florida, Lake Andrew, Eagle Lake and Diamond Lake as the panfish seem very hungry. We’ve had reports that catching walleye on Green Lake has proven to be tougher this year compared to last. It is suggested to keep moving and check different spots of the lake and at different depths. Water temperatures on the area lakes is in the 70s so start checking for fish in deeper waters and along the weed lines. The best time to catch fish is in the early mornings and in the evenings. Stock up on bait as the forecast looks like another great weekend to be on the lake!
