Mayor’s Virtual Bike Ride & BINGO
Friday, May 15, 2020 (which is also National Bike to Work Day)
Contest starts at 5:00pm and ends at 8:00pm

During this time of social distancing, we have decided to tweek the annual Mayor’s Bike Ride a bit to make it safe for all participants.

Join the Mayor’s from Spicer and Willmar and the Mayor Pro-tem from New London in a virtual bike ride starting at 5:00pm in each of their communities on Friday, May 15th.

You can start and end wherever you like. The only requirements are that you take a picture at each location on the BINGO card to make a regular BINGO (5 in a row vertically, horizontally or diagonally). Please share your photos on social media using the hashtag #WillmarLakesArea. Or if you’re not on any social media, just email us the locations with the photos to prove your BINGO winner. (

All those participants that make a BINGO and send proof by 9:00pm Friday, May 15th will win a $5 gift card to a local restaurant.

The ride is FREE, but participants need to pre-register in order to receive their BINGO card and instructions. To register please call (320) 235-3552 or email with the names of each rider and their contact information (in case they are the winner).

In addition to the bike ride on May 15th, we will continue to use the BINGO cards until May 31st in order for you to be able to get a blackout on your card (meaning you go to each location on the card and take a picture). Again please share all your photos on social media using the hashtag #WillmarLakesArea or if you’re not on social media, email us the pictures and locations. All those that complete the blackout BINGO will be entered to win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant. The contest ends at 9:00pm on Sunday, May 31st.

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. Enjoy your bike rides in the Willmar Lakes Area!
