Camp Instructors Include:
Dempsey Schroeder grew up in Pennock and attended KMS and Willmar Public Schools. He is a well-known fiddler and is also accomplished on the upright bass, mandolin and guitar. He also composes and records original music.
Maggie Harp is a former music teacher at BBE and is currently the music director of Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. She is an outstanding accompanist on guitar and keyboard, often playing by ear. She and Dempsey have played together for over 15 years.
Joyce Rudningen is a former BBE music teacher and lives in Sunburg.
Alissa Hulstrand fell in love with the tin whistle the first time she went to music camp (relegating violin to second fiddle status!) She is an associate professor of biology at Northland College in Wisconsin.
Rev Daryl Thul is the pastor at Hope Lutheran and five other congregations in the ACT Parish and is a retired military chaplain with a passion for punk rock acoustic guitar.
Darlene Schroeder of Pennock, enjoys teaching fiddle and keyboard.
Registration;
Pre-registration is required. In order to plan, pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be accepted. (Children 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.)
To register, text or call Darlene @ 320-212-2050
Attendance at all sessions is required. As space is limited, we can only accept campers committed to attending every day of camp.
We strongly encourage parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts to learn playing instruments together. It changes the dynamic from “You need to practice” to “Let’s play!”
***We regret that we will be unable to meet special dietary needs. You may bring your own bag lunch.
