Ribbon Cutting for the Outdoor Covered Ice Rink

The City of Willmar will celebrate the completion of its new covered outdoor ice rink and pavilion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, January 13th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Willmar Civic Center.

Designed for year-round use, the facility features a steel frame with a translucent fabric roof that lets in natural light while deflecting heat to maintain ice in winter. The interior and exterior are paved with asphalt, providing a durable, multi-use space for skating, hockey, and community events throughout the year.
