Don’t miss this year’s Spicer Winterfest!  It all starts with the building of our annual Ice Structure and includes many events throughout January and February, celebrating winter fun and the community of Spicer!

Weather and ice conditions permitting, the ice structure will be built during the weekend of January 13-15, 2023.  If you have never seen this done, head to Saulsbury Beach to watch volunteers create the sculpture with blocks of ice from Green Lake.  It is an incredible feat and very fun to watch the sculpture take shape.

Throughout Winterfest, Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center will have cross-country skis, snowshoes, kick sleds and fat-tire bike Rentals available.  The cost is $5/youth, $10/adult member, and $20/adult nonmember for 2 hours. Call ahead to rent at 320-354-5894.

Jan 22 (Sun) 5th Annual Kids Ice Fishing Derby 1-3pm
Location: In front of Pirrotta Park on Green Lake
Registration 12-1pm, $5/child 15 yrs and younger

Jan 28-29 (Sat-Sun) Green Lake Pond Hockey Tournament
Location: Prairie Meadows Preschool Outdoor Rink

Jan 28 (Sat) 18th Annual Polar Plunge 2023 at 12 pm Plunge
Location: Saulsbury Beach on Green Lake
A benefit for Special Olympics Minnesota
