Join us in Sunburg Sunday, May 19th, 2024 for the 19th Annual Syttende Mai Celebration (Norwegian Independence Day)!
The Annual Syttende Mai Celebration offers a variety of family-friendly activities:
Come for the tractor pull, quilt raffle, boutique at the Community Center, Sunburg Trolls Car Club Car Display, Sunburg Lakers Baseball Game, parade and more!
7:00 – 9:00 am – Pancake Breakfast at Hope Lutheran Church (Adults $7; Kids [5-12] $4; Under 5 free)
8:30 am – Registration for tractor Pull at Glacial Plains Co-op
9:30 am – Non-Denominational Church Service at Hope Lutheran Church (Norwegian goodies & coffee following the Church service.) (Fiddle Music in Narthex after the Church service.)
10 am – 3 pm – Sunburg Trolls Car Club food stand at Glacial Plains Co-op open (Tractor Pull site)
10 am – 12 pm – Fiddle Playing at the Shelter next to the Ball Field
10:30 am – Tractor Pull Driver’s Meeting at Glacial Plains Co-op – Pull begins immediately after meeting.
10:45 am – 3:30 pm – Antique & Out of the Field Tractor Pull at Glacial Plains Co-op. No bleachers. Bring lawn chairs (spectators & pullers)
11 am – 1:30 pm – Quilt Display at Sunburg Fire Hall (Raffle Tickets available at the Fire Hall, Lake Region Bank)
11 am – 3:30 pm – Boutique at the Community Center

1 – 3 pm – Fiddle Playing in front of the Cafe
3:30 pm – Grande Day Parade – Grand Marshal – Sandy Wick
