128th Kandiyohi County Historical Society Annual Meeting & Program
Thursday, April 18 from 5:30-8pm
A baked chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad and dessert will be served starting at 5:30 pm.
The cost of the meal is $20 per person for KCHS members and $25 per person for non-members.
Following the meal, the annual meeting will be conducted. After the short annual meeting, Jim Roe will present on the 1980s Farm Crisis in West Central Minnesota.
In 2022, the West Central Minnesota Historical Association received a grant to hire a consultant, Jim Roe, to work on a research and an interpretive plan for the 1980s farm crisis. Jim Roe will present his findings from his research and what connections came out of his research.
The West Central Minnesota Historical Association is a collaboration of the county and area historical societies of 10 counties in west central Minnesota with the purpose being to promote and tell the history of west central Minnesota. The counties included are Big Stone, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, Renville, Swift and Yellow Medicine.
