April 3-6 and April 10-13 – The Barn Theatre Presents: The Tin Woman
Tickets are on sale NOW for this poinient thought provoking story. Instead of relishing life after her heart transplant, Joy enters a downward spiral, unsure whether she truly deserves a second chance. Meanwhile, Alice and Hank mourn the loss of their son, Jack, whose heart was used to save Joy. At a friend’s urging, Joy tracks down Jack’s family to find closure. A drama about family, love, and loss, that will tug at your heartstrings.

April 4 – Elvis Tribute Concert
Grab your tickets before this amazing show sells out! Anthony is an award winning performer that has had sold-out audiences throughout the world! He sets himself apart by producing quality shows throughout the year with his All-Star Band including horn and string section. Only 250 tickets will be sold so grab yours while you can!

April 4-5 – Home & Outdoor Living Expo
Come and check out the annual Home and Outdoor Living Expo at the Willmar Civic Center. Both the Event Center and the Cardinal Arena will be full of the best local businesses and vendors highlighting the latest trends and innovations from home building, remodeling and décor to landscape design, party vendors to green energy, boats and docks, storage buildings, outdoor fun and adventure. Bring the kids along to meet a Minion and have their picture taken with him. They can also color a picture for a chance to win a prize. Winners will be randomly drawn from all entries.

April 5 – West Central Connection Chorus Spring Show

April 5 – The Glenn Miller Orchestra
A legend lives on! Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all dance bandleaders back in the swing era of the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s. A string of hit records, performed on radio broadcasts and theatre stages, built and sustained the band’s popularity. Today, the 18 member ensemble continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements and will perform with members of the NL-S high school jazz band! Just as it was in Glenn’s day, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is still the most sought after big band in the world.

April 5 – WillmarMania VI
Come for the 6th annual WillmarMania at Willmar Senior High School! Get ready for an evening of great wrestling filled with excitement, fun, and entertainment. Experience thrilling performances, engaging activities, and refreshments at WillmarMania VI. Plan to make a trip because this will be a great show you won’t want to miss!

April 12 – Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day at Prairie Woods! Get ready for a day of outdoor fun, hands-on learning, and nature exploration for the whole family! This year’s Earth Day event features exciting new attractions, including the Nature Preschool & Playscape, along with a special presentation from the Science Museum of Minnesota!

April 12 – Goat Ridge Brewery’s 10th Anniversary
Join the celebration at Goat Ridge Brewing Co. for their 10th Anniversary with a day full of music, beer, food, and a good time! They will have new beer releases, special swag, food specials, and live music by a variety of bands!

April 13 – Prairie Winds Concert Band Spring Concert
Enjoy an hour of great band music from the Prairie Winds Concert Band! This concert is about lending the idea of art with the musical performance, creating a dynamic experience for all who will hear. Tickets will be available at the door.

April 24 – Blues Under the Spotlight Fundraising Gala
Join us for an unforgettable evening of celebration and impact. This is sure to be a night full of great music, food and fun auction experiences! There will even be a Liquor Wall Raffle. Dress in your best or come in your comfy attire… just come! Make your reservations today!

April 25 – Life Connections
Mark your calendars for the Annual Life Connection Event! It is filled with vendors, entertainment, fun, and time to connect with friends and make memories!

April 25 – International Heritage Festival
All are welcome to attend this FREE event celebrating the many cultures of our area! It’s a day to explore, learn, and celebrate the rich diversity that connects us all. Enjoy delicious food samples from around the world and experience amazing cultural “edu-tainment” featuring music, art, artifacts, dancing, and mesmerizing performances.

April 26 – Healthy Earth, Healthy Kids
Healthy Earth, Healthy Kids is a free event at the Willmar Civic Center featuring exhibitors, food, kids activities, and more! The Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA will have a booth with kids’ games and crafts and will be hosting a color Run starting at 11:00am. The fun run is free and open to the public. See you there!

And continuing throughout the month of April are karaoke nights at area bars, trivia nights at area breweries, and live music at a variety of restaurants/bars.
