About Three Sisters

Our family owns a farm, and with it being a small farm with little prospect for our three daughters to continue the business, we began exploring opportunities that would allow us to continue a family business. Many stars lined up to present this opportunity.

Roger (dad) had established a relationship with the Amish of Central MN by providing timber from the family farm to their sawmill businesses. One of the families that purchased timber began making log cabins. We had them build a log cabin as a place to escape to. This led to us representing them in their log and timber frame cabins.

Then, while looking for a place to display the cabins, we explored a building that had previously been occupied as a restaurant. Not being able to justify the real estate for displaying cabins, we asked ourselves, "What could we do with the old building"? After discussing the proposal with our three daughters (The Three Sisters), we purchased the property in the late summer of 2008. After extensive renovations, we opened for business in July of 2009, offering fine Amish furniture and home decor.

A core value of our business is to offer products that are produced locally, in an effort to reduce energy to get products to you and to support the men and women that produce our fine products.
