Welcome to Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center. We are a nonprofit education center committed to providing outstanding environmental education and outdoor experiences to people of all ages.

Cross country and hiking trails are open during daylight hours seven days a week. Enjoy beautiful 500-acre outdoor classroom featuring self-guided trails through prairie, woods and wetlands with 7 miles of hiking and groomed cross country ski trials. PWELC rents cross country ski's and snowshoes for a minimal fee.
