Sibley State Park Fall Color Report for 10-18-18

Prairie grasses are beyond their peak colors. The hard killing frost has caused a lot of the leaves to die and turn brown. Burr Oaks that were somewhat protected from the freeze are turning orange and bronze. Many of the colorful leaves of other trees have been stripped from their branches by wind and rain. Aspen trees are about 50% of their golden fall color.
